Princess Syndrome - Chapter 118

Chapter 118: Dreaming

Chapter 118: Dreaming

Chu Yi's phone call was like a thunderclap, striking Su Lingyue and leaving her body stiff even after hanging up. In the brief moment she was on the phone, Ji Zhiyi had actually ambushed her!

Too--

Su Lingyue's eyes flicked to Ji Zhiyi, who was tilting her head and looking at her.

What was so interesting to look at.

As she thought this, Su Lingyue tossed her hair, revealing half of her already flushed face. Ji Zhiyi asked her, "Do you want to go back upstairs?"

Go upstairs.

Of course, she wanted to go upstairs.

Su Lingyue thought this in her heart but asked, "What about you?"

Ji Zhiyi said, "I'll stay here a little longer."

Su Lingyue didn't ask why. What else could it be for? Of course, it was because of her. Su Lingyue had enough self-awareness to know that, but she was trying to hold back her happiness, which was really difficult for her. She couldn't hold it in anymore, and she said, "You should go back soon. I'm going upstairs."

This time, Ji Zhiyi didn't say anything else. She was very obedient. "Okay."

Su Lingyue wanted to get out of the car, but she moved her toes, unwilling to take off the high heels. She was even more reluctant to have them touch the ground. She quickly took them off and put them back in the box. She said to Ji Zhiyi, "Take the gift back first. I--" She would go there tomorrow, was she being too petty? The day after tomorrow? It felt like she couldn't hold back. Why didn't Chu Yi call a few minutes later? At least it would have allowed her to bite Ji Zhiyi's neck or something, or even just kiss her.

Now, she was stuck in an uncomfortable situation, neither up nor down.

She glanced at Ji Zhiyi's neck, the smooth curve of her collarbones, and the lines of her neck as she tilted her head.

Ji Zhiyi said, "Then I'll take it back first. I'll wait for you to come back."

The awkwardness had been relieved.

Ji Zhiyi didn't ask when she would be back, as if she was willing to wait for her patiently forever.

Hearing this, Su Lingyue wanted to reflect on herself again.

She quickly stopped the little person who was shouting in her head, kicked that person back into the corner, and tried her best to appear calm. "Okay."

Ji Zhiyi said, "Go upstairs."

Su Lingyue turned her head and looked at her for two seconds, before heading upstairs with her last bit of reason. She tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep, not knowing whether Ji Zhiyi had gone back or not. After a long while, she sat up. Ji Zhiyi had sent her a message: [I'm home.]

She had also sent a picture.

Not of her.

But of Xiao Mafan.

Xiao Mafan was crouching by the door, tilting her head. It was as if she hadn't seen Ji Zhiyi for a long time and was slightly unfamiliar with her. Su Lingyue poked her finger on the picture, and finally at peace, closed her eyes to rest.

The next day, she was woken up by her alarm. She didn't know if it was because Ji Zhiyi had returned, but Su Lingyue slept very soundly. When she opened her eyes, the sun was shining in through the window. There was a knock on the door, and Chu Yi called out, "Lingyue, are you up?"

She smelled the aroma of steamed buns.

Su Lingyue got out of bed and saw several breakfasts laid out on the dining table. Chu Yi said, "It's so convenient, there's a place downstairs, and they can even deliver when it's raining."

She handed her soy milk. Su Lingyue went to wash up. When she came out, she took the soy milk and, while eating, listened to Chu Yi say, "Ji Zhiyi is back, so is she going back to Yilin?"

After Ji Zhiyi left, Yilin had been drastically restructured, and they had changed a lot of personnel. Chu Yi had even thought about changing her job recently, wondering if she should go to Yilin.

Su Lingyue didn't understand. "Isn't Su Qi recovering? Why would you change jobs?"

"Recovering is recovering, but it feels like we're standing on the edge of a cliff, about to fall off at any moment." Chu Yi said, "You know how many people have resigned from Su Qi this year."

It was a major change in personnel.

The people they hired were all inexperienced college students. After the Yilin and Xie Lan incident, they had lost many designers. Chu Yi even said, "Do you know that Xie Lan was sued?"

Su Lingyue knew about that. Qi An had personally handled it, so it was hard for her not to know. Probably because of that, a large number of designers had left Su Qi. The company was already in a precarious position, and now, it had even less talent. So, Chu Yi had been thinking about changing jobs.

She even asked Su Lingyue about Yilin.

Su Lingyue said, "It's pretty stable."

Chu Yi said, "That's perfect, then I'll go join you."

Su Lingyue said, "I probably won't be there for long either."

She had been waiting for Ji Zhiyi to come back.

If Ji Zhiyi went back to Yilin, she would stay at Yilin. If Ji Zhiyi went to the factory, she would follow her. From the moment she had given up on targeting Su Qi, she had decided to stay with Ji Zhiyi.

Chu Yi didn't understand. "Then where will you go?"

Su Lingyue said, "I'll tell you after I decide."

She looked at Chu Yi. "Oh, right, about Ji Zhiyi coming back..."

"I know, don't say it," Chu Yi winked at her. "I know the boundaries."

She hadn't even told her colleagues about her acquaintance with Su Lingyue. Words were dangerous, and who knew what would be said when it was passed through other people's mouths. So, she rarely talked about her dealings with Su Lingyue. As for Ji Zhiyi, she pretended that she didn't know her in front of others.

Su Lingyue smiled at her. "Thank you."

Chu Yi gave a soft "Ai yo."

She said, "What did you two talk about downstairs last night?"

Su Lingyue said, "Nothing much. She brought me something."

Chu Yi asked, "What is it?"

Su Lingyue said, "Shoes."

Chu Yi frowned. "Shoes?"

Su Lingyue said, "Yeah, she designed them."

Chu Yi's eyes lit up. "Custom made!"

She then said, "Wow! Lingyue, you're so amazing! Do you know how many people are willing to pay a fortune to get her to make custom designs? There was a celebrity, what was her name, she had worked with Yilin before. She said in an interview that she really wanted to wear Ji Zhiyi's custom-made shoes!"

How could Su Lingyue not know that.

It was because she knew that, that she was even happier.

And there was also Mao Jingan's situation. Su Lingyue's eyes curved as she smiled. Chu Yi said, "Actually, I didn't try to persuade you last night because I was afraid you'd be even angrier, but I don't think Ji Zhiyi is the type of person to disrespect you."

Hearing this, Su Lingyue pursed her lips.

She took a bite of her fried dough stick.

Chu Yi said, "But I would be angry too if she didn't tell me, you should be angry!"

In the end, she was still unconditionally on Su Lingyue's side.

Su Lingyue muttered, "Whose side are you on, anyway, mine or hers?"

Chu Yi said, "Of course, it's yours!"

Su Lingyue glanced at her, then lowered her head to eat the fried dough stick, her lips curved upward.

After eating, there was still some left. Chu Yi said, "Do you want to take some to Ji Zhiyi? These haven't been eaten." She separated some of it. "These haven't been eaten."

Su Lingyue thought that Ji Zhiyi hadn't sent her a message this morning, so she probably wasn't awake yet. She nodded. "Okay."

Chu Yi said, "Then I'll give you a ride there in a bit."

It was on her way to work anyway.

Su Lingyue didn't object.

After getting into the car, Chu Yi said, "Don't forget to make time on the weekend, we're moving!"

Su Lingyue said, "I remember."

Chu Yi said, "I'm not used to living alone, I've always lived with you."

Su Lingyue said, "Then, should I introduce you to someone?"

Chu Yi paused for a few seconds. "Zhang Xian?"

Then she shook her head. "Never mind, never mind."

Su Lingyue was speechless.

She hadn't even said who it was.

At the entrance of the apartment building, Su Lingyue got out of the car with the breakfast. Chu Yi waved goodbye and left. Su Lingyue looked up at the address, the sunlight shining directly on it, causing a glare. Su Lingyue squinted and opened the door to go inside. Xiao Mafan immediately jumped to her feet, meowing long and short meows. Su Lingyue picked up Xiao Mafan, rubbed her head, and kissed her, getting cat hair all over her. She tilted her head and saw the suitcase by the door.

It was hers.

And a red one.

It was Ji Zhiyi's.

Had she not cleaned up last night either?

Su Lingyue tiptoed into the room but didn't see Ji Zhiyi.

Where was she?

She was suspicious. She was about to call Ji Zhiyi when she suddenly thought of something and went to her own room. As expected, Ji Zhiyi was sleeping in her room. She could see the outline of her body under the blanket. Ji Zhiyi's hair was spread out on the pillow. She was lying on her side, facing away from Su Lingyue. Xiao Mafan had struggled free from Su Lingyue's hands and jumped onto the bed, sitting at the edge of the bed, looking at Su Lingyue, as if inviting her onto the bed.

Su Lingyue walked over.

The room was very dark, the curtains were tightly drawn. Ji Zhiyi's profile was pressed against the pillow. Su Lingyue squatted down and got closer to look at Ji Zhiyi.

She was sleeping so soundly, she hadn't even noticed her come in.

How tired must she be?

Last night, she had even driven over to bring her a gift.

Su Lingyue's heart ached instantly. She brushed aside Ji Zhiyi's hair, revealing her beautiful, curved neck. Su Lingyue's fingertips were warm. When she touched Ji Zhiyi's skin, Ji Zhiyi's eyelashes moved. Su Lingyue quickly pulled her hand back, wanting to pull her body back too.

If Ji Zhiyi opened her eyes and saw a person so close to her, she would be scared to death, right?

Thinking this, she found it funny. But before she could move away, Ji Zhiyi had already opened her eyes. Her beautiful eyes looked at her, and what surprised Su Lingyue was that Ji Zhiyi wasn't surprised at all.

If it was her, she would have screamed if she opened her eyes and saw a person so close to her bedside.

Ji Zhiyi looked at her and smiled. "Lingyue."

Her voice when she just woke up was a little raspy and extremely sexy. Su Lingyue was distracted by it, and didn't say anything. A few seconds later, she finally snapped back and said, "Ah--"

It was a soft breathy sound.

Ji Zhiyi reached out and touched her face, saying, "You're a little late today."

A little late?

No, how did she know she would come?

Su Lingyue was curious. "You know I'd come?"

"I know." Ji Zhiyi closed her eyes, then opened them again, turning on her side, touching Su Lingyue's cheek with one hand, her voice smooth. "You come every day."

Every day?

When did she ever...

Only then did Su Lingyue realize.

Was Ji Zhiyi dreaming?

So, she dreamed of her every day?

Su Lingyue tried her best to suppress her joy, but she didn't even need to look in a mirror to know that she had a smile on her face right now. She couldn't hold it back. It was too painful. Su Lingyue lowered her head and smiled, then raised her head and looked at Ji Zhiyi, trying to get information from her. "So, what do I do when I come here every day?"

Ji Zhiyi looked at her and after a long pause, she got up and lifted the blanket, pulling Su Lingyue up. Su Lingyue was confused and stood up, following Ji Zhiyi's movements. Ji Zhiyi exerted force on her wrist, and Su Lingyue fell onto the bed. Ji Zhiyi looked at her and after a few seconds, she kissed her lips.

Su Lingyue's head was spinning.

She blinked, feeling like something wasn't right.

Before she could figure it out, Ji Zhiyi's lips were already on her lips. She wrapped her arms around Su Lingyue's waist, the force almost embedding her into her body. Her soft waist was being twisted painfully. Su Lingyue woke up from her daze. "Wait..."

Before the word could come out, Ji Zhiyi covered her lips with one hand.

Su Lingyue made two muffled sounds.

Ji Zhiyi used her body to press her down, not letting Su Lingyue move. The current Ji Zhiyi was completely different from her usual gentle self. Was she this wild in her dreams? Su Lingyue was being caressed and kneaded, her mind was hazy and confused. Her hands had already obediently and instinctively wrapped around Ji Zhiyi's neck.

Ji Zhiyi seemed to have just heard her say "wait."

She asked Su Lingyue, "What's wrong?"

Su Lingyue looked at the side.

This was the best time to pause. She could get up and tell Ji Zhiyi that she wasn't dreaming. But when her eyes met Ji Zhiyi's, she hesitated, unable to say the words. Finally, she placed one hand on Ji Zhiyi's head.

A few seconds later.

She pushed Ji Zhiyi's head down.
