Our Love, A Public Service - Chapter 25
Chapter 25
Was there a difference between a dining table and a desk?
"Are you hungry?" Jing Rui asked, releasing Chi Jia's lips. "If not, we can have dinner later."
Before Chi Jia could answer, Jing Rui teased, "I'll have you for dinner first."
"Hey, we'll see who's having whom." Chi Jia never liked to back down, especially in front of Jing Rui. Actually, she seemed more interested in seeing Jing Rui beneath her, panting and breathless.
"Let's go upstairs."
Chi Jia frowned, pressing against Jing Rui. "I don't want to do it on the desk..."
Jing Rui smiled, kissing Chi Jia's forehead. "Try it, you might like it."
"You think I'm as shameless as you…" Chi Jia verbally refused, but after a moment of hesitation, she followed Jing Rui to the third-floor office.
The third-floor office was their usual meeting place, spacious and bright. The cool, minimalist design seemed incongruous with the passionate scene unfolding on the desk.
She had been devoured by surnamed Jing again.
Chi Jia lay on the hard desk, her arm covering her eyes, her lips, initially pursed, gradually parting as she struggled to catch her breath. The air conditioning was on full blast, but her body felt like it was on fire. Chi Jia could sense that Jing Rui felt the same.
"Don't cover your face, let me see you." Jing Rui pulled Chi Jia's arm away, wrapping it around her waist, and leaned in for another kiss, smiling. "I don't know why, but the first time I saw you, I wanted to sleep with you."
Chi Jia opened her eyes slightly, her arms around Jing Rui, and murmured like a kitten, "Pervert..."
"Yes, you're absolutely right." Jing Rui's smile was indulgent as she looked at Chi Jia's face, one hand gently caressing her cheek. Gazing at her, she couldn't resist leaning in for another gentle kiss.
In her hazy state, Chi Jia had the fleeting illusion that as they looked at each other and smiled, they were like a couple in love, not just bed partners.
Lost in Jing Rui's passionate kisses, Chi Jia completely forgot herself, holding Jing Rui tight, completely immersed in the moment.
"Come to my place tonight." Jing Rui gently stroked Chi Jia's forehead. "Let's have some real fun tonight."
"Okay…" Chi Jia kissed Jing Rui eagerly, thinking, when had they not had fun?
"You're enjoying yourself, but I'm still unsatisfied."
Chi Jia rolled over, pressing against Jing Rui's back, her hair falling around them, kissing the back of Jing Rui's neck as she murmured, "Let me be on top."
Before coming here after work, Chi Jia never imagined signing a contract would lead to this. She and Jing Rui had done it again tonight, on the office desk, and then in the soft bed in the bedroom, leaving traces of their pleasure everywhere.
Chi Jia's heart rate hadn't been normal all night.
Exhausted from their passionate lovemaking, they lay limply in bed.
Not only had Chi Jia never been so unrestrained, neither had Jing Rui. Every time they were together, it was as if the world was ending tomorrow, pushing themselves to the limit.
"Grumble—" Chi Jia's stomach growled loudly.
"Hungry?" Jing Rui also realized they hadn't eaten anything yet; it was already 11 PM.
"Duh, we haven't eaten anything all night." Chi Jia remembered the chocolate bar in her bag, so she reached for it. There was only one left. She often skipped meals, so she always carried snacks in her bag to keep her energy up.
Chi Jia was starving, so without thinking, she tore open the wrapper and started eating.
"Don't eat in bed." Jing Rui never ate in bed and didn't like others breaking her habits.
Once, her ex-girlfriend had opened a bag of crackers in her bed, and Jing Rui had replaced the entire bed the next day. Her ex had also broken up with her partly because of her temper. Even in a relationship, Jing Rui was completely self-centered. She could be incredibly good to you, but if you crossed a line, she would break up with you without hesitation.
Jing Rui's voice was soft, and Chi Jia didn't hear her clearly. She turned to Jing Rui. "What did you say?"
Chi Jia's cheeks puffed out as she ate, like a greedy hamster.
Jing Rui looked at her, recalling the first time she saw Chi Jia eat, and couldn't help but smile. She had never seen anyone eat so cutely. She glanced at the chocolate bar in Chi Jia's hand and said in her usual commanding tone, "Give me a bite, I'm hungry too."
Chi Jia stared at Jing Rui for a couple of seconds. Such a small chocolate bar, and she wanted to share it? A cook like her, Chi Jia didn't believe she had nothing else to eat at home. Nevertheless, Chi Jia still handed it over, not wanting to appear stingy. "Here."
Jing Rui took a bite, her brow furrowing. It was sickeningly sweet.
"How could you? You ate almost the entire thing in one bite!" Chi Jia looked at the small remaining piece of chocolate, feeling slightly aggrieved.
Jing Rui hadn't actually eaten that much; there wasn't much left to begin with.
"I'll buy you a whole box tomorrow." Jing Rui said dismissively, still complaining despite eating Chi Jia's chocolate. "It's disgusting."
"Then why did you eat it?! Spit it out!"
Jing Rui turned over, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. "Gladly."
Before Chi Jia could process her words, Jing Rui pinned her down on the bed, holding her shoulders down as she kissed her. Their mouths were filled with the sweet taste of chocolate, the kiss sweet and lingering.
"That's disgusting." Chi Jia muttered as they parted.
Jing Rui, still on top of Chi Jia, whispered suggestively, "It's not the first time you've tasted my saliva."
"Jing Rui…"
"Don't move." Jing Rui lifted Chi Jia's chin and kissed her again. After a couple of light pecks, she was about to pull away when Chi Jia suddenly embraced her, deepening the kiss.
"Want more?" Jing Rui asked, seeing Chi Jia eagerly seeking her kisses.
Chi Jia leaned her forehead against Jing Rui's, her breath slightly ragged, and didn't reply. Hearing Jing Rui's question, she pursed her lips and pushed Jing Rui away, her passion fading. Was sex the only thing on surnamed Jing's mind?
She was falling for her, Chi Jia realized. She had truly fallen for the vixen. Compared to the passion in bed, she loved the feeling of kissing Jing Rui even more, like just now, simple yet sweet.
Chi Jia inwardly mocked herself; talking about sweetness with a casual sex partner?
"You rest, I'll go make something to eat."
"Okay." Chi Jia replied indifferently.
They were still naked, and as Jing Rui got out of bed, Chi Jia's gaze involuntarily followed the vixen's figure, her slender waist and curvy hips, the kind of figure that made any woman jealous.
After getting dressed, Jing Rui suddenly turned around. Miss Chi was indeed looking at her. "You like sneaking glances at me, yet you refuse to admit it."
Chi Jia met Jing Rui's gaze. "Who was sneaking glances? Didn't you tell me to look openly?"
Jing Rui was about to leave, but seeing Chi Jia's stubborn expression, she couldn't resist leaning down and kissing Chi Jia's slightly pouting lips, teasing her. "Look all you want, as long as you like it."
The vixen was constantly flirting with her, making her heart race, but she liked it, sometimes even wishing Jing Rui would kiss her longer.
"You think your figure is so great? It's just average…" Chi Jia muttered.
Jing Rui smiled, smoothed her hair, and stood up, already used to Chi Jia's comments.
Chi Jia watched Jing Rui until she disappeared through the doorway.
Alone in the unfamiliar room, Chi Jia lay wearily in bed, lost in thought. Then she picked up the nightgown from the floor and put it on, looking around the room. This bedroom was bigger than her entire apartment, as expected of a wealthy woman.
Chi Jia was truly envious. When would she be able to afford half a bedroom this size in L City?
In the kitchen, Jing Rui started cooking. Steak was the quickest option, plus it was late, and they couldn't eat too much.
The steak sizzled in the pan, its juices overflowing. Jing Rui smiled; she had been tired these past few days, and tonight, she finally felt relaxed. Although she was still physically tired, she enjoyed it.
But her relationship with Chi Jia, she couldn't quite define it.
When Jing Rui brought the food into the bedroom, Chi Jia was leaning against the headboard, asleep again, seemingly unbothered by the awkward position.
The aroma of steak made Chi Jia's nose twitch, and she opened her eyes immediately. She saw Jing Rui standing by the bed, smiling at her, her slightly messy hair making her look even more alluring.
A piece of steak was held to her lips, and Chi Jia stared at Jing Rui without opening her mouth.
"Open your mouth." Jing Rui suddenly wanted to see Chi Jia eat. "This is my first time feeding someone."
Always claiming it's the first time, who knows how many times you've done this, Chi Jia thought to herself. She opened her mouth and took the steak, chewing quietly with puffed-out cheeks, her appetite suddenly returning. She sat up in bed. "I'll eat it myself."
Sitting together, replenishing their energy after their strenuous "exercise."
Chi Jia ate her steak quietly, her mood improving with every bite.
"Want me to make something else?" Jing Rui asked, although seeing Chi Jia's hearty appetite, she was worried she might overeat so late at night.
Chi Jia finished the last bite. "I'm full."
Jing Rui reached for a tissue to wipe Chi Jia's mouth, but Chi Jia had already wiped her mouth herself, leaving Jing Rui's hand hanging awkwardly in the air.
Chi Jia usually didn't have trouble sleeping in unfamiliar beds, but tonight, lying in bed with Jing Rui, she couldn't sleep.
Overthinking was the culprit. To be precise, her insomnia had started after meeting Jing Rui.
But tonight, they both slept soundly, truly exhausted.
"Ah—"
"I'm going to be late!"
"My perfect attendance bonus!!!"
Jing Rui was woken up by Chi Jia's shrieks, rubbing her forehead as she opened her eyes. "What are you yelling about? It's not even nine yet."
If it were nine o'clock, Chi Jia would be having a complete meltdown. It was the last working day of October, and if she made it through today, she would receive her perfect attendance bonus.
"Jing Rui, did you turn off my alarm?!" Chi Jia shook Jing Rui vigorously.
"Chi Jia, are you crazy…" Jing Rui's face was filled with annoyance.
Chi Jia was not a morning person. "I have to go to work! I'm not like you, a rich, idle woman!"
"Then go to work." Jing Rui turned over, pulling the blanket over her head. "Be quiet, I'm still sleeping."
Chi Jia gritted her teeth, fuming at Jing Rui's back, and got out of bed.
Operating on the principle of "if I can't sleep, neither can you," Chi Jia stomped around, deliberately making as much noise as possible.
Jing Rui's head throbbed. Why did she have to deal with this little devil?
Chi Jia was quick, washing up and getting dressed in ten minutes, a speed honed from years of practice. As she grabbed her bag and walked out of the bedroom, she saw Jing Rui was already up and dressed, standing in the living room with her hair down and no makeup.
"Let's go." Jing Rui picked up the car keys from the sofa.
"Go where…" Chi Jia was confused.
"To take you to work, so you can get your perfect attendance bonus."
