Our Love, A Public Service - Chapter 9
Chapter 9
It felt just like that night.
With her waist suddenly embraced, Chi Jia was stunned, her first reaction was that the vixen was joking with her again.
But then, Jing Rui lifted her chin, their lips drawing closer and closer.
At that moment, a rather suggestive and flirtatious song was playing in the bar.
The atmosphere was just right.
Their noses brushed against each other, their warm breaths mingling.
Jing Rui cupped Chi Jia's face, her eyes half-closed. "Kiss me..."
Chi Jia was dumbfounded.
Seeing Chi Jia didn't flinch, Jing Rui, slightly drunk, gently brushed her lips against Chi Jia's.
A light, fleeting touch, but incredibly alluring.
Jing Rui nuzzled Chi Jia's cheek with her nose, still maintaining the intimate distance, a smile playing on her lips.
A vixen-like smile, as Chi Jia would say.
Even if Chi Jia had initially doubted her ears, their current position made everything clear. Moreover, Jing Rui had really kissed her!
Kissed… by a woman.
Chi Jia pushed Jing Rui away, her heart pounding. "Are you crazy? Are you drunk?!"
"I saw my ex, and I don't want her to bother me." Looking into Chi Jia's eyes, Jing Rui explained, "Do me a favor."
"You can't just kiss me, lady!" Chi Jia glanced sideways; a couple was indeed walking towards them.
"Help me." Jing Rui studied Chi Jia's face closely. "I'll introduce you to a project."
Talking business at a time like this?
"This isn't about the project..." Chi Jia felt she had to stick to her principles.
Jing Rui was adept at exploiting people's weaknesses: "A villa, 500 square meters."
A 500-square-meter villa...
Chi Jia wouldn't even get a few design projects like that in a year.
Interior designers had meager base salaries; their income relied entirely on commissions. The commission for a villa would undoubtedly be substantial. Hearing about a 500-square-meter villa...
"Are… are you serious?"
"Of course."
Chi Jia readily cooperated. When Jing Rui put her arm around her waist again, she proactively wrapped her arms around Jing Rui's neck, looked down at her for a moment, pursed her lips, and closed her eyes, kissing her.
It was just a pretend kiss, no big deal, they were both women anyway, so she wasn't losing out.
Chi Jia held Jing Rui's neck, gently kissing her face.
For the sake of securing the project, she was going all out tonight.
A woman's skin was soft and smooth, with a faint fragrance. Actually, kissing a woman was more comfortable than kissing a man...
As Chi Jia's lips lightly brushed against her face, Jing Rui felt a stirring.
Chi Jia, still not used to being so intimate with a woman, frowned, steeling herself as she kissed.
Jing Rui turned her head slightly, unable to resist kissing Chi Jia's lips.
Their lips pressed together.
Chi Jia froze, her lips motionless against Jing Rui's, even more bewildered.
It was just acting, was it necessary to be so realistic?!
The music pulsed, lights flashing.
Everything happened subconsciously.
Chi Jia's initial resistance gradually melted away under Jing Rui's gentle approach. Her furrowed brows relaxed, and she closed her eyes, seemingly enjoying the moment.
She must be really drunk tonight, Chi Jia thought. Otherwise, not only would she have pushed a woman away for kissing her, she wouldn't be responding like this. But it felt so good, the other woman's lips were as soft as jelly.
Chi Jia had always liked Jing Rui's perfume. At this moment, her senses were filled with Jing Rui's scent, the fragrance seeming to travel from their lips to her heart.
Her heart raced, almost in sync with the rhythm of the drums.
It had been so long since she felt like this, Jing Rui was also lost in the moment.
Their suggestive entanglement stimulated every nerve in her brain.
Chi Jia subconsciously parted her lips.
Wait, a French kiss?
"Mmm..." Chi Jia opened her eyes, pushing Jing Rui away, her face flushed crimson. "Not like this..."
"I'll give you two more villa projects." Feeling completely captivated, Jing Rui didn't want it to end just like that. She leaned closer to Chi Jia again, their foreheads touching, her breath slightly ragged, her voice husky. "Let's continue..."
"Huh?"
Two villas...
Once again, Chi Jia shamelessly gave in.
She had to admit, the vixen was a good kisser. Chi Jia felt all her previous kisses were amateurish in comparison.
Chi Jia half-heartedly resisted, subconsciously feeling it was inappropriate... But those were two villas, and they had already kissed anyway.
Jing Rui initiated another soft kiss.
It made her heart itch.
Chi Jia couldn't help herself and kissed Jing Rui back.
Jing Rui smiled, no words needed.
Chi Jia looked at Jing Rui's face in a daze. She was drunk, the alcohol had gone to her head. She thought the vixen was so beautiful, and even more shamefully, she wanted… to continue kissing her.
The alcohol continued to affect her brain.
Looking at Jing Rui's intoxicated smile, Chi Jia's mind went blank. Impulsively, she pressed Jing Rui against the bar and kissed her, completely losing control.
The vixen was seductive, but Miss Chi wasn't a pushover either. Chi Jia suddenly realized that she came out to drink at night simply to relax, and kissing the vixen was relaxing, soft, and fragrant, a very comfortable feeling.
With Chi Jia's sudden passionate initiative, Jing Rui naturally responded in kind.
This wasn't a lesbian bar, so two women openly making out inevitably attracted attention.
Ning Qian, still upset about Wen Jin, had come here to drink alone. Not long after entering the bar, she saw two beautiful women passionately kissing.
Looking closely, she recognized both of them. Seeing Miss Jing's intoxicated expression, Ning Qian was speechless. "Oh my god, and she said she wasn't interested..."
Chi Jia lost track of time.
She felt an unprecedented excitement, like an addiction.
It wasn't until she was breathless that Chi Jia finally stopped, panting rapidly. Her face was flushed, but thankfully, the dim lighting made it less noticeable.
Their passionate display attracted stares from passersby, and Chi Jia finally realized they were being a bit too conspicuous.
Her emotions gradually calmed down.
Ning Qian didn't approach them, not wanting to spoil the moment. She found a corner and continued drinking alone. Sometimes she envied those who could easily move on; she was too sentimental, which was why she felt so suffocated every day.
When would she and Wen Jin be like those two?
Wen Jin would surely cup her face and kiss her gently...
Ning Qian realized she was overthinking again...
"Not a bad kisser." Jing Rui took a sip of her drink, commenting on Chi Jia's performance.
After kissing a woman, the vixen acted completely nonchalant.
Chi Jia thought she had to appear even more indifferent.
Just treat it as a drunken escapade, a moment of madness. It would be awkward to dwell on it.
"You're not bad yourself. Quite comfortable." Chi Jia feigned nonchalance, a true actress, despite the turmoil she had felt just moments ago.
Hearing Chi Jia's response, Jing Rui suddenly looked at her with a playful glint in her eyes. "Don't tell me you're gay?"
"Who says kissing a woman makes you gay? Didn't you ask me to help you out?" Chi Jia almost choked on her drink. She told Jing Rui word by word, "Miss Jing, don't worry, I'm not interested in women, and I definitely don't have any other intentions towards you."
While claiming to be helping Jing Rui, Chi Jia had long forgotten about the ex.
Jing Rui raised an eyebrow, smiling. "That's for the best."
What was with that tone? It was as if surnamed Jing was afraid she would fall for her?
Chi Jia considered herself quite desirable.
After taking a large gulp of her drink, Chi Jia smiled disdainfully, confidently telling Jing Rui, "Even if all the men in the world were extinct, no, even if both men and women were extinct, and only the two of us were left… I still wouldn't like you."
Saying those words felt incredibly satisfying.
Jing Rui wanted to laugh. "You'll be drunk if you keep drinking. Stop it."
"I'm not drunk, I can still drink." Chi Jia wanted to order more; Jing Rui was paying, so why not?
"I won't take you home if you get drunk."
"Ridiculous, I didn't ask you to take me home..."
But in the end, after finishing her drinks, Chi Jia clung to Jing Rui's arm, refusing to let go.
Here we go again, Jing Rui had anticipated this scene.
Despite saying she wouldn't take Chi Jia home, Jing Rui wasn't that heartless.
In the car, after enjoying the cool air conditioning for a while, Chi Jia sobered up a bit.
Jing Rui handed her a bottle of water, which she took and sipped.
The car was quiet, and they just sat there. Feeling bored, Chi Jia started a conversation. "Was that your ex?"
"Yes."
Drunk and uninhibited, Chi Jia's true nature emerged, and she started her sharp-tongued critique of Jing Rui. "So ugly. Your taste in men is really questionable. But your ex-boyfriend's current girlfriend is much prettier than you."
"You're saying my ex-girlfriend is prettier than me? Do you need your eyes checked?"
Chi Jia was about to retort, but something felt off. She looked at Jing Rui, confused, unable to process the information for a while, thinking Jing Rui had misspoken. "Ex-girlfriend?"
The couple who approached them earlier—Chi Jia had assumed the man was Jing Rui's ex.
"My ex-girlfriend. You think she's prettier than me?" Jing Rui enunciated clearly.
Chi Jia felt overwhelmed by the information.
So, ex-girlfriend meant…
"…You're gay?!"
"Did I ever say I was straight?"
Indeed, she never had.
Hearing Jing Rui's answer, Chi Jia instantly sobered up, the alcohol seemingly evaporating from her system.
No wonder Jing Rui had been so experienced when she kissed her at the bar, hugging and touching her… Had she been groped?!
The more she thought about it, the more distraught Chi Jia became. She vigorously wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, her brows furrowing deeply. "Jing Rui! You took advantage of me!!!"
Now, whoa wait a minute lol.
