Chapter 211

In the Oscarld Sea region, Delphine led her people as they waited in a nearby forest, observing the calm sea surface and the surrounding movements from a distance. They had been staking out the area for some time and had seen a few vampires appear nearby. However, they were extremely cautious, using scrolls for all their entries and exits, so Delphine had yet to truly confirm where the Tzimisce clan was hiding.

This stretch of sea was too vast, surrounded by cities of all sizes. They had confirmed the location was within the Gru Empire, but investigating any more specifically was difficult.

Delphine stood on a tree, gazing blankly at the sea's surface, lost in thought.

Patricia stood beside her, unconsciously plucking her bowstring, her mind elsewhere.

"Are you afraid?" Delphine sensed the fluctuation in Patricia's emotions. She turned to glance at her and said with a smile, "It's normal to be afraid when facing this kind of situation for the first time."

"You're still young. Although you have experience fighting vampires, it's natural to be worried when facing an entire Tzimisce clan."

"I was also very scared the first time I went to the battlefield." Delphine offered her hand to Patricia, showing her the sweat on her palm. "Even now, my heart is not at peace."

"I'm not afraid of death, but I'm afraid my death will lead to the extinction of the Elf Race." She did not want to become a sinner.

Patricia gripped her bowstring tightly, emphasizing in a heavy tone, "You will not die. I will protect you."

"I'm not afraid at all. I'm thinking about how to protect you."

Patricia had been taciturn since childhood. She spoke a little more when it came to matters concerning Delphine, but she rarely revealed her emotions to her.

This was the most intense emotion she could express. She somewhat hated herself for not being able to say more beautiful words. The bowstring she clutched nearly sank into her skin.

Delphine glanced down at her hand and shook her head in disapproval. She reached out and freed Patricia's hand, saying softly, "I know. You will protect me."

"We still have to go back and see our descendant." Delphine thought of something, and her light green eyes glowed with a gentle light. "I wonder what her skin color will be."

Before coming to the Oscarld Sea, they had used their blood essence to merge with an Elf Fruit to conceive the next Elf Queen. The Elf Fruit was still growing beneath the Tree of Life, watched over by some of the older elves guarding their territory.

It was also the first time they had conceived a descendant with a Dark Elf, and Delphine didn't know what would happen. However, she guessed that the Elf Queen's bloodline was powerful and shouldn't be disturbed by the Dark Elf's bloodline.

At this mention, Patricia's body stiffened. She peeked at Delphine's expression and, seeing her lost in thought, frowned and asked in a low voice, "...What if she's like me?"

"It would be nice if she were like you," Delphine said, reaching out to stroke Patricia's hair. "If she can't be the Elf Queen because of her identity, then we'll just conceive another one."

"Once we reclaim the Tree of Life that the Holy See stole, I will double the size of our territory and leave it for the Dark Elves to live in."

Driving the Dark Elves away in the past had been a last resort. Once the Holy See's Tree of Life was returned to their territory, the Elf Race would no longer need to be divided. Their people would finally return to a peaceful life.

Beneath the tree where Delphine and Patricia were, several white figures appeared with a whoosh. Faye leaped onto the tree, her eyes gazing out at the sea as she said flatly, "The Tzimisce are at the bottom of the sea."

"The bottom of the sea?" Delphine was surprised for a moment, then raised an eyebrow. "That's a bit troublesome for you werewolves."

Werewolves were land creatures; water was probably the thing they hated most. However, with Faye's strength, being underwater would have some effect, but not too much.

Still, this news was quite good for the Elf Race. Delphine toyed with the staff in her hand, looked around, and asked, "Where's Grace?"

"She is already on the sea, leading the people from the Holy See." Faye withdrew her gaze from the vast ocean and said in a deep voice, "My people are all here. Let's make our move. We'll start by stirring up this sea."

Delphine raised an eyebrow and smiled lightly. She gave Patricia a look, signaling her to gather the elves, then continued where Faye left off, her tone cheerful. "I hope Eden won't be too surprised when he sees his little shack being torn apart."

This time, to deal with the Tzimisce, Faye had brought ten Wolf Race elders who had long been in seclusion. The Wolf Race elders were old, and their movements were not as agile as the younger werewolves, but their control over the Werewolf Domain was masterful. Once they sealed the space, they would give no one a chance to escape.

This time, she didn't plan on letting a single Tzimisce vampire get away.

The Wolf Race elders floated in the air, automatically finding suitable positions and activating their Werewolf Domains. Layer upon layer of domains overlapped, sealing off this area of the sea completely.

Delphine led several hundred elves, raising her staff and beginning to chant a spell in a low voice. When the races of the Statu Continent mentioned elves, everyone's first impression was their beauty, followed by the longbows they always carried on their backs. Few knew much about their magic.

In reality, the power of elven magic was no weaker than that of the Holy See. It only seemed inferior because the element they could command was not the power of light, and thus had no restraining effect on dark creatures.

The elves being the darlings of nature was no empty reputation.

The spell chanted by the elves was like the howling of the wind and the low murmur of the sea. The hem of Delphine's dress billowed backward in the wind. She waved her staff, and circles of blue light descended, falling into the seawater.

Ripples suddenly appeared on the calm surface of the sea, followed by waves, and then a raging tempest. The fierce wind swept the seawater upward. The sea was drained, splitting into two towering walls of water that nearly touched the sky, held in place by the blue light, trembling but still stretching upward.

On the drained seabed, a layer of thick, black fog was flowing. Faintly visible below were stone chambers and vampires who had run out to see what was happening.

Delphine lowered her staff, her face momentarily pale. Patricia ran over to support her, handing her a bottle of Holy Water of Light.

After replenishing her spent spiritual energy with the Holy Water of Light, Delphine put away her staff, took out her emerald longbow, and drew the string taut, aiming an arrow at the dense fog below.

The sharp arrowhead tore through the fog, creating an opening large enough for two people to pass through side-by-side.

Faye cracked her knuckles and said in a low voice to Fanny beside her, "Let's go." With that, she was the first to jump down.

Behind her, several hundred werewolves followed her down, landing directly in the midst of the vampires, transforming into their original forms, and beginning to tear them apart.

With such a huge commotion overhead, Eden and the other elders had long since noticed. Eden emerged from his stone chamber and looked up at the azure sky. He narrowed his eyes, snorted coldly, and raised his hand to deploy his Blood Domain, but his summons failed several times.

The werewolves and elves had really come prepared. Eden clasped his hands behind his back and pondered for a moment. Thinking of the things in his stone chamber, he turned to go back and retrieve them, but a white figure appeared out of thin air and slammed into him, sending him flying into a stone wall.

Faye stood where Eden had just been, looking indifferently at Eden as he climbed up from the ground. She sneered, "Delphine said you broke through. Is this all the strength you have?"

Eden raised a hand to his chest, where several bones were broken. He stared at Faye with cold eyes full of jealousy and hatred. "You broke through too."

Faye was stronger than before.

He was so jealous of the Wolf Race. They were born with immense combat power, yet they weren't constrained by any laws. As long as their talent was high enough, they could keep breaking through.

He had strived for this for over a thousand years, researching and experimenting day and night without rest, only to break through by a small margin. But Faye had easily achieved in just over a hundred years what he had dreamed of for millennia.

"If you hadn't stolen the Elf Race's Tree of Life, I wouldn't have had to constantly think about how to ensure my clan's continuation and improve myself without a moment's rest." Faye looked at Eden coldly, her palms beginning to elongate, her sharp nails glinting with a cold light. "After all, I'm not like you, resorting to any means necessary to obtain greater power."

As she spoke, she charged toward Eden. Eden dodged, and with a wave of the bone staff in his hand, a black chain flew toward Faye.

Their area was a separate battlefield. The other two third-generation elders of the Tzimisce clan sought out Delphine. With the sea drained, the werewolves and elves had a comfortable combat environment. The vampires, facing the combined forces of both sides, were completely unable to fight back.

The third-generation elders, clad in black robes, floated in mid-air, only their scarlet eyes visible. The Werewolf Domain had sealed the space. The two elders exchanged a look, took out their bone staves, and began to chant a spell. Black arrows flew toward them but were disintegrated by an invisible force mid-flight.

Patricia stood guard by Delphine's side. Seeing that the arrows were useless against the elders, she narrowed her eyes and was about to move in for close combat to interrupt their chanting, but her arm was suddenly grabbed.

Delphine shook her head at Patricia. She gazed in a certain direction and said softly, "It's fine, don't worry about them."

"But their dark magic is quite powerful."

"Look over there." Delphine pointed in a direction and said with a smile, "Dark magic, of course, must be countered with light magic. The third-generation elders may be immune to your arrows, but the fourth-generation vampires don't have that kind of strength. Focus on dealing with them."

As she spoke, she released Patricia's hand and raised her own longbow. Unlike Patricia, Delphine did not use the power of darkness, so her arrows were still quite troublesome for the third-generation elders.

Almost as soon as Delphine drew her bowstring, the two third-generation elders used black fog to conceal their figures.

Below, in the direction Delphine had pointed, a large ship was slowly sailing toward them. Tang Qiu stood at the very front of the ship, her scarlet cape flying back in the sea breeze. She raised her staff and began to chant a spell in a low voice. Behind her, dozens of clerics in simple robes were also chanting. Although they wore cleric robes, the power of light condensing before them was not to be underestimated.

These people were the guard unit that Reese had cultivated for many years, a very powerful team from the Holy See.
