Princess Syndrome - Chapter 93
Chapter 93: Angry
Zhang Ting saw Su Lingyue crouched down, with her head lowered, as if she was looking for something. Although she really wanted to ask if she needed any help, Ji Zhiyi was still here, so she didn't dare to say anything more, or even look at her more than a few times. She just lowered her head and handed the files over. Su Lingyue got up in a flash, and subconsciously looked at Zhang Ting for two seconds. She thought about how she had just been kissed by Ji Zhiyi, and that Zhang Ting probably hadn't seen it, but even so, she still felt uncomfortable and shifted uncomfortably to the side.
Zhang Ting was silent.
Ji Zhiyi asked: "Secretary Zhang, is there anything else?"
Her words were like a muffled thunderclap, and Zhang Ting was instantly startled awake: "No, nothing."
Ji Zhiyi looked up at her. Zhang Ting straightened up her back, and before leaving, she didn’t forget to look at Su Lingyue, her eyes filled with pity. When she bumped into Wu Meiyan outside the door, she called out: "Sister Wu."
Wu Meiyan, holding a report, turned her head: "Hmm?"
Zhang Ting: "Didn't you say that President Ji’s attitude towards Assistant Su was better now?"
Hearing that, Wu Meiyan focused, and asked: "What’s wrong?"
Two secretaries, who were close to Wu Meiyan, moved closer: "President Ji, she again?"
They didn't dare to say the rest.
Zhang Ting reached out and made a throat-slitting gesture. The two of them shuddered. Wu Meiyan said: "That shouldn't be." She said: "President Ji is pretty good."
Although she said that, she still looked up at the office.
The door was closed.
The blinds were closed.
They couldn't see inside.
Zhang Ting said: "Assistant Su was even crying."
It was true!
She had seen it. Although her eyes weren’t red, they were watery. Wu Meiyan frowned when she heard this. Her nearby secretary said: "Hopefully Assistant Su can endure it. It’s almost over."
Zhang Ting nodded.
They exchanged glances, and sighed.
Su Lingyue had come out of the office. Zhang Ting had given her some snacks and milk, and placed them on her desk. She had only glanced at them a couple of times, and then looked at Zhang Ting. The latter smiled at her, and she lowered her eyebrows, and took a sip of milk.
She heard everyone discussing: "How long is President Ji going to be gone for this time?"
"It shouldn't be short, right?" Someone else said, "Otherwise, there would be no need for President Qi to come."
“Ah…” Someone wailed: "President Qi."
Everyone’s faces paled. Zhang Ting said: "Endure it, everyone. You should all learn from Assistant Su. She's very good at enduring things."
If Su Lingyue hadn't been drinking the milk that she had given her, she would have thought that she was being sarcastic.
Hearing that, everyone looked towards Su Lingyue, with expressions as if they had been greatly encouraged. They nodded.
Su Lingyue finally understood what other people were thinking when she made her brave expressions.
It was so awkward.
She wanted to dig a hole and bury herself.
But she had no choice. She still had to smile at everyone.
Secretary Zhang: "Assistant Su has finally reached the end of her suffering."
Su Lingyue: ...
Thank you, she was more than anyone else who didn't want Ji Zhiyi to leave.
But she had no way of saying it out loud. She was forced to hold back her words. Wu Meiyan walked up to her side, and said: "Tomorrow, Arno's person in charge is coming. President Qi wants you to be in charge of the reception. You should go find Xiao Li in the translation department later, and discuss how to arrange things tomorrow."
Su Lingyue nodded.
Actually, Qi An had a personal assistant. She was her close assistant, and she took her everywhere she went. She had come here too, so Su Lingyue had thought that as soon as she arrived, she would just be a nobody again. After all, Qi An didn’t like her, but now, she was actually giving her such an important task.
With that thought in mind, she went to the translation department.
She had been to the translation department a few times. She was familiar with Xiao Li. After they had settled on the schedule, and the materials that they needed tomorrow, Xiao Li asked timidly: "Assistant Su, was President Ji transferred away because she lost the collaboration with Baoshun?"
Perhaps in other people's eyes, Ji Zhiyi had been transferred away because she was incompetent, and had lost the collaboration.
Only Su Lingyue knew the truth.
But she had no way of telling others, so she just smiled.
Xiao Li immediately understood, and gave her an expression that said, “I understand.” Su Lingyue was feeling a bit stifled after leaving the translation department. She simply went to the top floor. She had been there with Ji Zhiyi once before. It had been when the sun was at its peak. Now, although it wasn’t sunset yet, the sun wasn't too harsh either. She wasn’t using any protection, and stood on the edge of the rooftop, letting the wind buffet her body.
It seemed as if she could hear a voice: “Lingyue.”
She turned her head.
There was no one.
Ji Zhiyi hadn't even left yet, but she was already starting to hallucinate.
Su Lingyue shook her head, and took a picture, and sent it to Ji Zhiyi.
Ji Zhiyi replied to her with question marks.
Su Lingyue: [Sharing in advance.]
Ji Zhiyi looked at her phone, and smiled.
What was ‘sharing in advance’?
But looking at the place, it was the rooftop. She glanced at the person from human resources who was talking to her, and sent a picture of her desk to Su Lingyue.
Su Lingyue opened it.
[Picture] [Feedback]
She was treating it like work, and was even asking for feedback.
She was inwardly complaining, but her face was smiling. She turned around, and was about to go downstairs, when she heard a voice: "You can’t make it tomorrow? Why didn’t you tell me before? And now you’re only telling me, where am I going to get backups?"
Her tone was very displeased.
Su Lingyue recognized the voice.
It was Zhang Xian.
She peeked out, and Zhang Xian also saw her. She said to the other end of the phone: "You can figure it out yourself."
After she hung up the phone, she looked at Su Lingyue as if she had seen family, and cried out: "My head is about to explode!"
It seemed like it had really exploded. She had originally been thinking about seeing the two of them face to face, and was planning to question them on how they had gotten together, but now, her mind was filled with mush. Su Lingyue said: "Do you want to go downstairs for coffee?"
Zhang Xian waved her hand, looking limp. She said: "Did you meet Sister An?"
Su Lingyue said: "Mm, I saw her this afternoon."
“I just sent her back.” She took a deep breath, her body relaxing, and sat down on a chair under the shade of an umbrella, and looked at Su Lingyue, and waited for half a day before she said: “You and President Ji…”
Su Lingyue turned her head to look at her. Ji Zhiyi had already told her that Zhang Xian knew about their relationship, and that Ji Zhiyi had told her that if she had anything, she could directly ask Zhang Xian when she wasn’t around.
So she wasn't surprised that Zhang Xian was mentioning Ji Zhiyi.
It was just that she was a little surprised by what she said.
Zhang Xian said: "Did she force you?"
It was very soft, and very cautious. Su Lingyue also moved closer: "Did you ask her?"
Zhang Xian was shocked: "I don't want to die!"
Su Lingyue laughed.
Seeing that, Zhang Xian said: "Oh, it seems that she didn't force you."
Her tone was much more relaxed.
Su Lingyue said: "We are both deeply in love, and we are madly in love with each other."
Zhang Xian: ...
Who was madly in love?
Ji Zhiyi?
She couldn’t believe it.
She was forcibly amused, and leaned closer to Su Lingyue, and said: "I still can't believe it."
Su Lingyue said: "Why?"
Zhang Xian said: "Maybe I never thought that she would fall in love?"
Su Lingyue: ...
She was silent for two seconds.
She said: "Isn't she a person?"
Zhang Xian immediately replied: "Of course, she's a person."
Su Lingyue said: "If she's a person, then she has emotions, and being in a relationship is very normal, isn't it?"
Zhang Xian said: "That's the logic."
But that emotion seemed out of place on Ji Zhiyi. Maybe it was because she was always so busy with work, and was so focused on work, that she never seemed to have any need for love. And her relationship with her parents was also lukewarm.
Zhang Xian had always thought that she was the type of person who was indifferent by nature.
She wouldn't be able to maintain a long-term relationship with anyone.
That was why she was so surprised.
Seeing that she was still surprised, Su Lingyue asked: "Didn't you also say that she wrote a love letter to someone in the past?"
Why was she so indifferent then?
She was not indifferent at all!
She was quite passionate, alright?
And she had even written a love letter.
Su Lingyue thought jealously.
Hearing her bring that up, Zhang Xian finally nodded: "That's right."
Su Lingyue, seeing that, coughed: "Who was it written to?"
Zhang Xian said: "I don't know, I just saw it in an interview. It seemed that she said that it was written to a classmate."
Su Lingyue paused: "University?"
There was still a glimmer of expectation.
After all, she and Ji Zhiyi had been classmates in university.
But it was unlikely. If she had written it to her, how would she not know?
She had even remembered that time that Ji Zhiyi had given her water.
Zhang Xian shook her head: "High school."
Su Lingyue laughed.
High school, huh.
She asked: "Was it from First High School?"
Zhang Xian nodded.
Su Lingyue frowned, deep in thought.
Zhang Xian waited for half a day, and still didn't hear a response from her. She couldn't help but ask: "What are you thinking about?"
Su Lingyue said: "Do you have any pictures from First High School?"
Zhang Xian said: "Why would I have them? I didn't even go to First High School."
Su Lingyue: "Oh."
Zhang Xian asked her: "Why do you want the pictures from First High School?"
Su Lingyue said: "To find the person Ji Zhiyi had a crush on."
Zhang Xian was startled: "How are you going to do that?"
Su Lingyue said: "The prettiest one."
Zhang Xian: ...
Su Lingyue said, she was sure that it had to be the prettiest one, since Ji Zhiyi liked pretty people.
She was thinking very surely, and Zhang Xian glanced at her, and finally understood where all of the jealousy was coming from. She said, "That was so many years ago. You shouldn’t take it to heart. Besides, she hasn’t mentioned it all these years, so she probably forgot about it a long time ago."
Su Lingyue said: "Didn’t she mention it in the interview though?"
Her voice was filled with melancholy.
Actually, she hadn't been that concerned with it before, so she hadn't mentioned it. But now, the more she thought about it, the more unhappy she became.
Zhang Xian was about to speak when her phone rang. It was her assistant. She picked up, and the person on the other end said: "Director, Xie Lan has arrived."
Zhang Xian straightened her expression: "She's here?"
Her tone was slightly cold.
Su Lingyue turned her head. Zhang Xian hung up the phone, and said: "Xie Lan has arrived. Should I go down, or go together?"
Su Lingyue didn't want to stay here by herself, so she decided to go downstairs with Zhang Xian. When they got to the office, she heard Secretary Zhang say: "Assistant Su, there was a phone call for you just now. It was from the front desk, and they said that there was a delivery for you."
Su Lingyue didn't know what she had bought. She went downstairs to the front desk, signed for it, and took it. It was a square box. It wasn't that big, and it was packed up very tightly with a delivery box. When she got back to the office, Secretary Li, seeing her, asked: "Assistant Su, what did you buy?"
Su Lingyue said: "I don't remember."
She was about to open the box with a utility knife when she heard Wu Meiyan quickly walk in, and say: "Everyone, come to my office."
Su Lingyue put the delivery box down to the side, and went with everyone else to the office with her notebook.
It was a reception meeting for Arno’s person in charge that was coming tomorrow, as well as some instructions from Qi An. After Wu Meiyan had finished speaking, she looked at everyone: "Assistant Su, can you stay behind for a moment?"
Su Lingyue waited.
Wu Meiyan said: "Did you go to the translation department already?"
Su Lingyue said: "I just went."
Wu Meiyan gave her a stack of documents: "President Qi wants you to make an analysis report, and give it to her tomorrow."
Su Lingyue took them. Just as she was about to leave, Wu Meiyan said: "That President Ji... can you still hold on?"
Su Lingyue was confused.
She then realized what she had meant: "It's okay."
Wu Meiyan said: "She's not going to be at the company tomorrow. Try to endure it."
Su Lingyue had originally been in a good mood.
But after hearing this, her mood instantly soured.
She couldn't say the truth to Wu Meiyan, so she could only force a smile.
She came out of Wu Meiyan's office, and sat down on her chair. From time to time, she looked towards Ji Zhiyi's office. The person inside was talking on the phone, not even lifting her head from her computer.
She wasn't coming to the company tomorrow.
Try to endure it.
She couldn't endure it.
She was already starting to miss Ji Zhiyi now.
Su Lingyue had never thought that she would be such a clingy person, but after falling in love, she felt that she had become clingy and dramatic. She took a deep breath, and opened the documents that Wu Meiyan had given her.
Ji Zhiyi was busy until it was time to go home. She subconsciously looked outside, and only saw three or four secretaries left. Su Lingyue was also there, still typing away at her computer, seeming very busy.
She messaged: [What are you busy with?]
Su Lingyue saw the notification pop up, clicked on it, and directly copied the page and sent it to Ji Zhiyi.
Ji Zhiyi: ...
She asked: "How much longer do you need?"
Su Lingyue glanced at the two pages that she still had left: "About half an hour."
Ji Zhiyi: "Take it home to do?"
Su Lingyue: "There’s not much left. I’ll finish it before I go home."
Ji Zhiyi rested her chin on her hand, and replied: "Okay."
Then she canceled their dinner reservation at the hotel, and asked Su Lingyue: "What do you want to eat tonight?"
Su Lingyue was about to say, "Whatever you want," but thinking that she wouldn't be able to have dinner with Ji Zhiyi tomorrow, she changed her words: "What do you want to eat?"
Ji Zhiyi: "Let's decide when we get home. Whatever we have."
Su Lingyue smiled: "Okay."
After closing the chat, Su Lingyue started to get busy again. She spent a bit longer than she had imagined, and after half an hour, she was done. Everyone had already left. She saw that Ji Zhiyi was standing in front of her desk.
Su Lingyue asked: "When did you come out?"
Ji Zhiyi said: "Just now. Are you done?"
Su Lingyue said: "I'll send it to President Qi."
After sending it, she closed her computer. Ji Zhiyi saw her packing her things, and noticed the delivery box at the side: "What's that?"
Su Lingyue said: "I don't know. I received it this afternoon."
She had only opened it halfway, and was planning to open it again tomorrow, but Ji Zhiyi was staring at it. Su Lingyue held back her laughter: "It's really nothing." She said, as she used the utility knife to slice open the package. Inside was a perfume box. She frowned, and then opened it.
A card fell out.
Su Lingyue lowered her head, and her sharp eyes caught the signature.
Yang Zhizhi.
She immediately covered the paper.
Ji Zhiyi reached out to take it, but Su Lingyue put her hand over it. Ji Zhiyi said: "Why?"
Su Lingyue acted as if nothing had happened: "It's nothing."
Ji Zhiyi said: "Then let go."
She lowered her head.
Su Lingyue also lowered her head, and said: "I'll read it first."
Ji Zhiyi didn't move, so Su Lingyue, giving up, let go, not wanting to struggle anymore. Ji Zhiyi picked up the card. There were a lot of apologies written there, and they seemed sincere, and in the end, she had even asked her out for a meal.
Su Lingyue moved closer to Ji Zhiyi's side, and finished reading the card.
She gave a dry laugh: "She must have sent it to the wrong person!"
Ji Zhiyi read out loud: "To Miss Su."
Su Lingyue: ...
She said: "She’s thanking me."
Ji Zhiyi said: "Is that so?"
She asked, "Why didn't she give it to me?"
Su Lingyue bit the tip of her tongue, and said: "If you like it, I can give it to you?"
Ji Zhiyi said: "That gift that Miss Yang sent to you. How can you just give it to someone else so easily?"
Su Lingyue quickly expressed her loyalty: "You’re not someone else."
Ji Zhiyi laughed.
She finally handed the card and the perfume box to Su Lingyue, and Su Lingyue shoved them in her bag. She then followed Ji Zhiyi into the elevator. After getting in the car, Ji Zhiyi had just fastened her seatbelt, when Su Lingyue unfastened it, and then leaned back, and closed her eyes: "Come on."
Ji Zhiyi looked at her: "What are you doing?"
Su Lingyue closed her eyes, and said: "This afternoon, you were unhappy. You kissed me. I think you must be very unhappy now, so come on, you can kiss me a few more times."
Ji Zhiyi, seeing her shamelessness, felt a sense of familiarity, and felt a little like laughing. She leaned forward, her face close to Su Lingyue’s.
Su Lingyue was still closing her eyes, waiting for her to kiss her. Just when she was about to open her eyes to speak, Ji Zhiyi lowered her head and kissed her.
Her tongue wrapped around Su Lingyue’s lips, as if she was burning her with passion, and the sweetness was scraped away, not leaving anything behind. Ji Zhiyi’s body was better aligned when she lowered herself, and pressed her body onto Su Lingyue’s body. Su Lingyue wanted to move, but was only able to shift her upper body, and their soft bodies pressed together, not allowing for even the slightest of gaps. They were squeezed into all sorts of shapes.
Ji Zhiyi saw that her face was turning red, and that she was about to gasp for air, and was about to pull away, when Su Lingyue grabbed her neck, and forced her back down. Su Lingyue’s tongue pried open her lips, and with her tongue, licked every sensitive spot, while her throat was being wrapped around her body. The small space seemed to be stirring, and the subtle sounds were amplified endlessly, and even a single syllable could provoke a hot current.
Ji Zhiyi felt Su Lingyue's lips leave her mouth, and press against her ear.
Her ear was instantly burning hot.
Su Lingyue was also surprised by the heat, and regained her senses. She looked at Ji Zhiyi’s eyes, and realized that they had just been kissing in a daze.
They were both covered in sweat from the kiss.
Su Lingyue glanced away, and helped Ji Zhiyi fix her collar, her own face even more red than Ji Zhiyi’s ears. She said tentatively: "Are you not angry anymore?"
Ji Zhiyi looked at her, and said in a voice that was both enticing: "If I am still angry, can we do it again?"
I NEED A WOMAN IN MY LIFE TOOðŸ˜
