After several consecutive days of his heat period, even with Ji Yuezhi’s good constitution, he couldn’t hold out. Just as the sky was brightening, he finally fell asleep nestled in Zuo Luohuan’s arms.
A few rays of light streamed in from outside the window. The light hit Ji Yuezhi’s eyes, and he unconsciously frowned.
Zuo Luohuan reached out to shield Ji Yuezhi’s eyes, then raised a hand to open the light screen and adjust the bedroom curtains, blocking the outside light.
She looked down at the person sleeping soundly, gently brushed aside the sweat-dampened strands of hair on his forehead, and couldn’t resist placing a light kiss on his lips.

“Awake?” Zuo Luohuan was a light sleeper and mostly just rested with her eyes closed. Sensing something soft and warm touch her chin, she opened her eyes and caught Ji Yuezhi’s hand, asking.
Hearing her voice, the tips of Ji Yuezhi’s ears grew hot. He still remembered the words she had whispered coaxingly in his ear these past few days.
“Are you thirsty?” Zuo Luohuan asked him.
Ji Yuezhi shook his head, wanting to say he wasn’t thirsty, but when he tried to speak, he found that his throat couldn’t produce any sound.
Zuo Luohuan got up and sat him on her lap. She reached for the water pitcher on the bedside table, poured a glass of water, and touched his lips with her fingertips. “You’ve cried yourself hoarse.”
Ji Yuezhi leaned back in Zuo Luohuan’s arms, a blush spreading across his snow-white face. She was always so intense, and he couldn’t help but let out sobbing sounds.
“Finish this glass of water first.” Zuo Luohuan didn’t think too much about it and carefully helped him drink.
Ji Yuezhi’s hands loosely held the glass, its base supported by Zuo Luohuan. He tilted his head back and slowly swallowed the warm water, and his throat felt a little better.
An Omega in heat needs to replenish a lot of water and food, but they are always afraid of their Alpha leaving. This was especially true for Ji Yuezhi, as it was his first time, and the panic after the initial bonding is greater. So, from the beginning, Zuo Luohuan had placed a large amount of nutritional supplements in the bedroom. The two of them had barely left the room for the past few days.

She didn’t mind. She poured another glass of water with one hand and slowly helped him drink.
Ji Yuezhi drank half and then turned his head away. He couldn’t drink anymore.
Zuo Luohuan put the glass down, held him, and helped him put on a soft silk robe. “I’ve ordered some food. Do you want to eat outside, or in here?”
Ji Yuezhi knelt up, wrapped his arms around Zuo Luohuan, and nuzzled his face into the crook of her neck. “...Either is fine.”
She was too calm. Ji Yuezhi felt a sense of uncertainty in his heart.
Zuo Luohuan had originally wanted to say in the bedroom, but thinking about how he liked to be clean, eating outside would mean they could go straight to the bathroom afterward, so she simply carried him out.
Ji Yuezhi let her handle him, leaning into the hollow of Zuo Luohuan’s shoulder, trying his best to stay close to her.
“Tomorrow morning, we’ll go to Doctor Fang Yong’s clinic for a check-up.” Zuo Luohuan placed him on a chair, knelt on one knee beside him, and said while holding his hand.

Ji Yuezhi pressed his lips together and looked down at her, then pulled his hand free and began to trace Zuo Luohuan’s face with his fingertips.
Zuo Luohuan turned her face to watch his fair, slender fingers, keenly sensing that the Omega’s mood was off. When his fingertips finished their tracing, she stood up, lifted him, and sat down on the chair herself, having him straddle her lap.
This intimate posture put the Omega slightly at ease. Ji Yuezhi rested his hands on Zuo Luohuan’s shoulders, remaining quiet and still.
Zuo Luohuan caressed his lean back with one hand, while using the other to open the food she had ordered. She picked up a piece of pastry and coaxed him to eat it.
She showed not a hint of impatience, even wishing he would be a little more willful.
After coaxing Ji Yuezhi to eat something, he lowered his head to play with one of Zuo Luohuan’s hands before asking, seemingly casually, “Can we go in a few days?”
He wanted to stay alone with her a while longer and didn’t want to see other people so soon.
Zuo Luohuan paused for a moment, then immediately agreed, “Alright.”
Ji Yuezhi’s tense body finally relaxed, and he leaned against her shoulder. “Jiejie, I’m tired.”
“Take a bath, then go get some more sleep.” Zuo Luohuan carried him to the bathroom, but once inside, the person who had claimed to be tired was now looking at her with beautiful, alluring eyes, tempting her.
In the end, when Ji Yuezhi left the bathroom, he was in a more disheveled state than when he went in.

Zuo Luohuan found time to reschedule an appointment with Doctor Fang Yong and took Ji Yuezhi for a check-up.
