SCOM - Chapter 33
Chapter 33
The military academy students in the three vehicles were all waiting for a good show. They simply wouldn't get out. In any case, under the pretext of a study exchange, the First Military Academy had to entertain them properly. If the few people below couldn't take it and gave up, they could even turn the tables and blame them.
The group sat around, chatting amongst themselves, completely oblivious to the fact that of the original seven people, three were already missing.
Zuo Luohuan, Ding Wuming, and Qian Mao had left without a sound. They circled around behind the three vehicles, silently slipped underneath them, and began to sabotage them, causing thick smoke to gradually fill the interiors.
"Oh no, your vehicles are on fire!" Guan Xue deliberately stood right in front of the vehicles, shouting with a 'panicked' expression, "Someone, come put out the fire!"
The military academy students in the vehicles, choking and disheveled from the thick smoke, ran towards the doors with soot-covered faces. But just then, the three saboteurs from under the cars had returned, and they started spraying the doors with fire extinguishers.
"Put out the fire, quickly!!!" Jiang Hong yelled 'heartbreakingly' from the side. "The students from our partner schools are on board!"
"Coming!" Qian Mao wildly sprayed the fire extinguisher everywhere, aiming specifically at the people getting out of the vehicles, all while shouting, "Are you okay? Are you okay?"
The military academy students, having been choked by smoke and then doused with a fire extinguisher: Damn you! You thieves from the First Military Academy! You're inhuman!
They had originally wanted to see the people from the First Military Academy get flustered, but now, it was the students from the three academies who were all standing miserably at the school gate, covered in black soot and dry powder.
"Apologies, perhaps the capital's vehicles haven't been thoroughly inspected recently," Ji Yuezhi stepped forward and said preemptively. "The vehicles we use to send you back next time will definitely undergo a proper safety check."
Everyone: "..."
After that, forget about experiencing classes; they had lost all interest in even touring the campus. All they wanted now was to immediately change into clean clothes and wash their faces.
But as luck would have it, they were arranged to stay inside the First Military Academy, living in the same dormitory building as the students here, which meant they had to walk in first.
Ji Yuezhi had their accommodation list in his hand. He led the people from the three military academies inside, taking a long detour around the campus, ensuring that the academy's own students could all see them.
He was the head of the Disciplinary Committee, so as he walked, people would always come over to greet him with a shout.
Ji Yuezhi would nod to each of them, then immediately introduce the group: "These are students from Yundong Military Academy, Northern Military Academy, and the United Military Academy, here to visit and experience our school."
The students who came to greet him would see the group behind him with their soot-blackened faces and bodies covered in yellow powder, and their expressions would instantly become meaningful as they suppressed their laughter and walked away.
Jiang Hong fell behind and whispered to Zuo Luohuan, "I never expected Ji Yuezhi to be so vicious. I can't afford to offend him in the future. Then again, he is Ji Xixiu's son, after all."
After saying that, he thought for a moment and added in alarm, "I almost forgot, you've already offended him long ago."
Zuo Luohuan glanced at him. "Am I the same as them?" They were students of the same military academy; the others were from different schools.
"Yes, you're different," Jiang Hong nodded. "Logically speaking, the two of you are fated rivals."
Zuo Luohuan: "..."
The students from the three military academies suffered a major setback right from the start. After going to their dorms on the first day, they didn't come out at all, and it wasn't until the second day that some of them began to move about.
They first went to the school administration to request the class schedules for those seven First Military Academy students. Then, the students from each academy went off on their own to wander around and find classes that interested them.
The people from the three military academies were most focused on two individuals: Zuo Luohuan and Ji Yuezhi.
These two were the hot favorites from the First Military Academy for the upcoming military exercise. Naturally, they wanted to see what classes Zuo Luohuan and Ji Yuezhi usually took and how they performed. However... Cha Lili from Yundong Military Academy and An Yingjing from the United Military Academy both coincidentally set their sights on one of Ji Yuezhi's classes. Flexibility Yoga? What kind of class was that? It sounded suspicious.
As for the students from the Northern Military Academy, they were more interested in Zuo Luohuan and wanted to fight her, so they didn't pay much attention to Ji Yuezhi.
However, Zuo Luohuan's Thursday was filled with elective courses, so they could only hold back their frustration and have her show them around the campus again.
Many people, both openly and secretly, asked the First Military Academy students about the "Flexibility Yoga" course. Since even Ji Yuezhi had chosen it, the class must hold some mystery; it definitely wasn't as simple as it appeared on the surface.
That night, back in their dorms, the students from the three military academies met up to exchange the information they had gathered.
"I heard it's a type of yoga specially modified by a First Military Academy instructor that can heal hidden injuries," Cha Lili from Yundong Military Academy said with a serious expression.
An Yingjing from the United Military Academy showed surprise in his eyes. "That powerful?"
Cha Lili nodded. "Their explanation wasn't clear, but I deduce it must be so."
"In that case, let's go check it out tomorrow afternoon," An Yingjing added. "Ji Yuezhi also has a flower arranging class, which seems to be a martial arts course."
"A martial arts course?"
"Yes. I secretly got a hold of a First Military Academy forum account. People on there say Ji Yuezhi likes to 'arrange flowers in other people's heads'." An Yingjing felt a chill run down his spine just thinking about those words from the forum.
Cha Lili's face twisted for a moment. "He has such a twisted hobby? It seems this military exercise won't be easy."
Luo Shaoyuan, a student from the Northern Military Academy who was passing by, was deeply shocked. She thought for a moment and said, "Are all the classes at the First Military Academy this... interesting? Then we'll go take a look tomorrow too."
On Friday morning, among the seven of them, only the two freshmen had a full schedule of classes; the others basically had none. So, the students from Yundong and the other two academies waited for the afternoon, preparing to see the legendary course that could 'arrange flowers in a head within three steps' and the modified yoga class that could treat special injuries.
On that Friday afternoon, twenty-one students from the three military academies gathered together and followed behind Ji Yuezhi, proclaiming they wanted to attend class with him.
"With me?" Ji Yuezhi swept his gaze over the dark mass of more than twenty people. "Are you sure?"
"We're sure!" Luo Shaoyuan said seriously. "We're here for a mutual exchange. We've never had a class like this at the Northern Military Academy, so we must come and learn."
A martial art that could arrange flowers in someone's head—even learning just a little bit of it would surely be immensely beneficial.
Under the watchful eyes of passing First Military Academy students, this group followed Ji Yuezhi into the flower arranging classroom.
As soon as Cha Lili entered, he began to survey the surroundings. There was a table at every short interval, with several vases of different sizes on top. Could it be that they're supposed to smash heads with these vases before arranging the flowers?
Just as the students from the three academies were crowded in the back, each lost in their own thoughts, the flower arranging teacher arrived. The moment she saw them, she was startled. "What are you all doing here?"
The flower arranging teacher wasn't a military instructor but was invited from another arts university. When the academy sent out the notice, it was only distributed to the instructors, so this teacher was completely unaware of the situation.
Ji Yuezhi had no choice but to step forward and explain the situation to the teacher.
"Oh, I see." The teacher hesitated for a moment before asking Ji Yuezhi, "It's not right for so many of them to be crowded in the back. Could you contact the academic affairs office and see if we can switch to a larger classroom?"
"I'll go ask." Ji Yuezhi opened his optical computer and contacted an instructor at the academic affairs office.
Shortly after, Zuo Luohuan and the others also received a message from Jiang Hong on their comms: 【Come to Hybrid Building 101, quick! All the students from the three academies have gone to attend class with Ji Yuezhi!】
When Zuo Luohuan saw the message, she instantly recalled what classes Ji Yuezhi had on Friday afternoon.
Jiang Hong sent another message: 【We have to go back him up! Twenty-one of them went, and on our side, it's just Ji Yuezhi alone.】
Room 101 was a massive classroom; it could hold not just a few dozen people, but two hundred.
"You all came so suddenly today, so I haven't prepared enough flowers. Everyone, just watch as you please," the teacher said, dragging over a basket of fresh flowers.
After distributing flowers to the students enrolled in the course, the teacher began to explain some flower pairing and dried flower arrangement techniques. Because there were students from other schools present, she made a point to explain everything in meticulous detail.
"...Why do I get the feeling that something isn't right?" Luo Shaoyuan stared dazedly at the teacher on the platform. The teacher was exceptionally gentle, spoke softly, and was elegantly dressed, a stark contrast to the atmosphere and temperament of a military academy.
"The people from the First Military Academy have always liked to play the wolf in sheep's clothing. This must be their way of covering it up," Cha Lili frowned, studying Ji Yuezhi's expression and actions, trying to find a flaw.
However, Ji Yuezhi was simply listening attentively, learning the various methods of flower arranging, and even taking notes occasionally.
Cha Lili had sharp eyes and even saw that when Ji Yuezhi opened his notebook, it was already filled with notes on flower arranging techniques, proving that it wasn't something he had prepared on the spot.
Just as the students from the three academies were beginning to have doubts, Zuo Luohuan's group arrived. With twenty-one extra people already there, the teacher didn't mind a few more and just focused on her lecture.
"What are they trying to do?" Jiang Hong gathered around Ji Yuezhi's desk and asked warily. "As soon as we heard the news, we rushed over to back you up."
Ji Yuezhi said faintly, "They're probably just curious."
An Yingjing watched the seven students from the First Military Academy huddle together and whisper. He exchanged a look with the captains from the other academies and instantly understood: This class is definitely a cover!
"I hear your school's 'Flexibility Yoga' is excellent. Could we go and experience it together later?" Cha Lili spoke up proactively.
Ji Yuezhi: "...If you're willing, you certainly can."
He could more or less guess what these people were thinking.
Once the flower arranging class ended, they could take the flowers with them. Ji Yuezhi picked up the wrapped bouquet, handed it to Zuo Luohuan beside him, and asked her to hold it for him. "I'm going to find a large dance studio."
Zuo Luohuan looked down at the fresh flowers in her arms, momentarily stunned, because she had spotted the iris in the very center at a glance. But when she looked up again, Ji Yuezhi had already left.
After Ji Yuezhi found a large, empty dance studio, the yoga teacher also learned about the exchange students from the other schools. A sense of heroic ambition immediately welled up inside her, and she decided to really open the eyes of these military students and show them what real yoga was.
"Yoga has been stigmatized for a long time, but it's actually an excellent course for physical training that can develop the body to a great extent."
The captains from the three military academies exchanged glances, thinking to themselves: As expected, 'Flexibility Yoga' is a powerful, hidden course. Even the teacher admits it's good for the body.
The teacher walked over to Cha Lili and patted his body up and down. "Classmate, your body is quite stiff. It won't hurt to learn some yoga."
Cha Lili instantly became solemn. Can this teacher detect my hidden injuries just by patting me? What incredible skill! No wonder the people from the First Military Academy are always stronger than us.
"Alright." The yoga teacher clapped her hands. "The students in my class can teach their schoolmates. I'll be responsible for the students visiting our school for the experience."
This time, the yoga teacher didn't bother with a gradual progression. Instead, she directly started teaching these visiting students how to fold their bodies.
At first, everyone did reasonably well with the splits. After all, for people who could fight, lifting a leg to their head was a common occurrence. But then, the yoga teacher would occasionally guide their movements, and they didn't know what got twisted, but the pain was enough to make them stupid.
The more it hurt, the more the captains from these military academies became convinced that the effects of this Flexibility Yoga were incredibly powerful.
An Yingjing stared at Ji Yuezhi in front of him, a sense of dread growing in his heart. Ji Yuezhi performed the same movements without any sign of difficulty. It's a pity this person isn't an Alpha, otherwise I could definitely handle him.
It seems that in the military exercise...
"Ah!" Before An Yingjing could finish his thought, his waist was pressed down by the yoga teacher, forcing a cry of pain out of him.
For the rest of the time, the twenty visiting students were like living screaming chickens. Wherever the yoga teacher went, a chorus of wails and pained cries would erupt. But even with tears blurring their vision, everyone held onto one belief:
Endure it! This course is greatly beneficial for the body!
