If It’s Wrong, Then It’s Wrong - Chapter 103

Chapter 103

Extra 2

On the day of the new fragrance launch, as expected, it caused a sensation.

First, the unconventional bottle design. It wasn't square or round, but shaped like an SUV, standing upright, the rear forming the base, the front with a spray nozzle, the transparent glass revealing the amber fragrance inside.

The front of the bottle was the SUV shape, the back flat, engraved with the fragrance's name: Bitter Departure.

The characters were in Cheng Liu’s handwriting, bold and sharp.

Compared to classic perfume bottles, this one was truly unconventional.

At the launch event, those in the perfume industry, seeing the bottle, initially assumed Ranshan's new fragrance was just an ordinary release, not aiming for a classic.

Such unconventional bottles rarely became classics.

However, after smelling Bitter Departure, they immediately changed their minds, only one thought remaining: Ranshan was truly Ranshan.

Everyone had experienced love and loss. The emotions conveyed by Ranshan’s Bitter Departure resonated deeply.

But Ji Chaozhou was completely unaware of the stir he had caused.

At that very moment, the handsome young man, his head tilted back, his face flushed with desire, his brow slightly furrowed, his eyes hazy, gazed at the person on top of him, whispering her name, “Cheng Liu…”

His voice trembled with barely suppressed gasps.

At this moment, he was incredibly happy.

Cheng Liu, sitting astride him, was equally affected. She paused, her face buried in his neck, her warm sweat and rapid breaths transferring to him.

He controlled his breathing, trying not to gasp too loudly.

Ji Chaozhou was still wearing his white shirt, although the buttons were all undone. His chin rested on Cheng Liu’s shoulder, his Adam’s apple bobbing, his eyelashes lowered. Even with his calm expression, the flush on his cheeks and the corners of his eyes betrayed his arousal, like peach blossoms in March, his eyes filled with a deep possessiveness.

No matter how many times they were together, he still greedily savored the feeling of their skin touching, wanting the moment to last forever.

But Cheng Liu always detached from the intensity faster than he did.

She released him, pulling back slightly, looking at him intently, tilting her head, “It feels…different. Did you change…?”

Before she could finish her sentence, Ji Chaozhou covered her mouth.

He was slightly annoyed by her bluntness.

Ji Chaozhou, looking at her coldly, “You don’t like it? I’ll change back next time.”

Cheng Liu pulled his hand away, immediately clarifying, “I like it. Don’t change back.”

—She had simply bought too many of those 35 boxes earlier. She was getting tired of them.

Cheng Liu, nuzzling against him, “You smell so good.” And familiar.

She didn't know when it had started, but Ji Chaozhou no longer used Ranshan Midu, or even Ranshan Bitter Departure. He now carried a faint scent of grapefruit, not bitter or sour, a fresh scent with a hint of warm intimacy.

She really liked it.

The corners of Ji Chaozhou’s lips curved slightly upwards. He liked the scent of their mingled fragrances.

After they both emerged from the bathroom, Cheng Liu asked why he wasn’t at the new fragrance launch event.

“I didn't want to go,” Ji Chaozhou said, already changed into his pajamas. He turned to look at Cheng Liu. “I have something more important to do tonight.”

CEO Cheng, hearing his words, felt a surge of pride. So, being with her was more important.

He loved her so much!

“I think being with you is more important too,” Cheng Liu said, seizing the opportunity to confess her feelings.

Ji Chaozhou, sitting on the bed, glanced at her indifferently, “Not that.”

Cheng Liu froze, then sat down beside him, letting out a pitiful “oh.”

Ji Chaozhou sighed inwardly. She was now an expert at acting pitiful. He knew it was fake, but he couldn’t resist indulging her.

On the surface, it seemed Ji Chaozhou was in control, but in reality, Cheng Liu had him completely wrapped around her finger.

“Cheng Liu,” Ji Chaozhou called her name. When she looked at him, he retrieved a ring box from somewhere, opening it to reveal two rings inside. “Do you want to marry me?”

To be with him, someone unwilling to openly express his feelings, yet so possessive.

Having said the words, Ji Chaozhou felt like his heart was pounding so hard it would burst.

Even though he knew she would probably agree, he couldn’t help but feel a surge of fear before she spoke.

He was afraid she would hesitate, that she would grow tired of him.

That was why he had spent the entire night with her, confirming her desire for him, before asking.

Cheng Liu, hearing his question, froze for a moment, then, realizing she wasn’t dreaming, jumped up and ran out.

Ji Chaozhou froze, his face paling. He had thought she would agree. They had been so intimate just a while ago, she had clearly enjoyed it.

Now…she didn't want him?

He looked down at the rings. The diamonds sparkled under the light, suddenly too bright, almost painful.

Cheng Liu quickly returned, carrying a stack of folders. She sat down beside him, spreading the folders out on the bed, her eyes sparkling: “I’ve already prepared several wedding plans. Six in total. You can choose!”

She had prepared everything, even the guest list, although there were quite a few witnesses.

Cheng Liu had seen his sketches earlier, guessing his intentions, and hadn't bought wedding rings. She had been waiting for this day.

“I think all these plans are good. Actually, we could get married once a year, six times in total.” Cheng Liu didn't think her suggestion was outrageous at all. She simply thought it was a way to separate the witnesses.

As she reached for the first folder, Ji Chaozhou stopped her.

He looked deeply into her eyes, taking her hand and placing it on his sash, letting her pull it open, his robe falling open to reveal his pale chest, still marked from their earlier intimacy.

Even though Cheng Liu had touched and bitten him just a while ago, the sight still made her heart race.

Whenever Ji Chaozhou wanted to seduce Cheng Liu, he always succeeded.

Soon, the folders were forgotten, scattered on the floor. The room filled with the sounds of their suppressed moans, and if one listened carefully, even the young man’s choked sobs.

His dark world, since she had entered it, was now brightly lit.

A week after the new fragrance launch, Ji Chaozhou and Cheng Liu’s wedding preparations were complete.

As for the chosen plan…it was the first folder Ji Chaozhou had stepped on after getting out of bed that day.

He hadn’t agreed to Cheng Liu’s suggestion of six weddings, so she had simply invited all the witnesses at once.

They stood on the stage, exchanging rings, Li Dong officiating.

“These are the most beautiful rings I’ve ever seen.” Even at that moment, Cheng Liu couldn’t resist praising Ji Chaozhou’s design, although she kept her voice low, only for him to hear.

Ji Chaozhou’s eyes had been unusually gentle all day. Hearing her words, a smile bloomed on his face, like a summer flower amidst ice, bright and captivating.

Not only Cheng Liu, but even the guests below were stunned into silence.

Thankfully, the wedding photographer, Kong Zhouyun, maintained his professionalism, capturing the moment despite his astonishment.

He Bai was also at the wedding. Since recovering from his foot injury, he had been transferred, now in charge of Shenyin Technology's external communications. Compared to his previous role as chief assistant, more like a glorified nanny, he now seemed more confident and assertive.

But as he looked at the couple on stage, exchanging rings, a hint of sadness flickered in his eyes. The person he had loved for almost ten years was marrying someone else.

“I never would have guessed,” Feng Shi, sitting beside He Bai, said, shaking his head. “I thought you two would end up together.”

Feng Shi had crossed paths with Shenyin Technology several times. They were practically old acquaintances.

He had seen He Bai always standing behind Cheng Liu, always assumed they would end up together.

He Bai gave a self-deprecating laugh: “She never even looked at me.”

Feng Shi nodded: “True, you two don’t seem like a good match.”

He Bai turned to look at Feng Shi, expressionless. This person had just said he thought they would be together.

Feng Shi, realizing his contradictory words, shrugged, explaining, “I thought you two would be together because you were always close to her. Back then, she seemed like such a workaholic, I didn’t think she had time for relationships.”

Who would have thought Cheng Liu, once she started dating, would be so…thorough?

Feng Shi had initially assumed Cheng Liu would choose He Bai out of convenience. After all, He Bai was a capable young man, from a good family.

If he were in Cheng Liu’s position, purely for business considerations, he would have chosen He Bai.

But Ji Chaozhou wasn’t a bad choice either. He had his own career, the support of Ji Mushan, and his looks and physique far surpassed He Bai’s.

Feng Shi could only sigh. Cheng Liu, as always, chose the best.

On stage, after exchanging rings, Ji Chaozhou leaned down to kiss Cheng Liu.

Kong Zhouyun, capturing the moment, thought this was the highlight of his career.

“Bravo!”

As Ji Chaozhou and Cheng Liu separated, Wang Hongyang shouted, clapping enthusiastically.

The other guests, after a moment’s hesitation, joined in, the applause filling the wedding hall.

Wang Hongyang clapped until his hands turned red, tears even welling up in his eyes. He wiped them away.

Cheng Liu was finally married!

His gold plaque had finally arrived!

Even though Wang Hongyang's career was on the rise, he had never forgotten the plaque.

As Cheng Liu came down from the stage, Wang Hongyang immediately approached her: “The gold plaque, Cheng Liu! The one you promised!”

Ji Chaozhou glanced at Wang Hongyang. He remembered him, Cheng Liu's ex-boyfriend, but today wasn’t the day to be jealous.

“Don’t worry, you’ll get it,” Cheng Liu said, waving to someone nearby. Two people carried over a gold plaque, covered in red cloth.

Wang Hongyang excitedly ripped off the cloth. The gold plaque gleamed, engraved with the words: Love Guru — Wang Hongyang.

The gold plaque of his dreams!

Wang Hongyang bent down and bit a corner. Although he couldn't tell the difference, it made him happy.

He took the plaque, almost dropping it from its weight.

“Can we take a photo together?” Wang Hongyang asked, holding the plaque.

Cheng Liu, not wanting Ji Chaozhou to be jealous on such a happy day, leaned closer to him, preparing to refuse.

But Wang Hongyang, holding the plaque, stood between them, calling out to Kong Zhouyun, “Take a photo here!”

Kong Zhouyun gave a thumbs-up, quickly snapping a photo of the three of them.

From then on, that photo hung in the center of Wang Hongyang's office, becoming the signboard of his agency.
